Park County Library Chess Open

May 18 @ 9:00 am

Get ready for the Park County Library Chess Open, set to take place at the Cody Library Grizzly Hall on Saturday, May 18th. On the day of the event, registration will open bright and early at 9:00 a.m., with game play commencing at 9:30 a.m.

The tournament will feature a 4 round Swiss format, with each game offering players 45 minutes to outmaneuver their opponents.

Whether you’re a seasoned player or just starting out, there’s a place for you at our tournament. We’ve carefully curated three sections to cater to different skill levels:

  1. Royal: Open to players of all ages and skill levels.
  2. Knights: Designed for moderate level players, this section offers a challenge for those looking to test their skills against worthy opponents.
  3. Rookies: Tailored for newcomers and those who may feel less confident about their abilities, this section provides a supportive environment for learning and growth.

One of the highlights of the event is the opportunity to meet and connect with fellow chess enthusiasts from across Park County. And let’s not forget about lunch! We’ll be providing complimentary lunch for all participants, ensuring that you have the fuel you need to stay sharp and focused throughout the day.

Pre-registration is highly encouraged. Contact the Cody Teen Library at (307) 527-1889 to sign up and join us for a day of chess excitement!
