Our purpose is to serve the public, meeting the needs of the community we serve through community outreach and engagement, delivering quality programs and providing excellent customer service.

History of PCLS

In 1914 the Park County Commissioners appointed the first board to form the Park County Library System. In 1916 a Carnegie Library was built in Cody and Librarian Mabel Wilkinson arrived to become the County Librarian for Park County. From this start a wonderful Park County Library System was created, with 3 libraries located in Cody, Meeteetse, and Powell.

PCLS Foundation
