Free Scam & Fraud Awareness Training for the Community

Location: Cody Library Grizzly Hall

We are pleased to announce a collaborative effort between these community organizations: The FBI, The Park County Sheriff’s Office, The Powell Police Department, the Cody Police Department, the Department of Family Services, Northwest College Center for Training and Development, The Cody Cupboard, and the Park County Library. Together, we present a free community event aimed at enhancing awareness and knowledge surrounding prevalent crime trends and financial scams.

Purpose:

The primary objective of this event is to empower members of our community with crucial information to safeguard themselves against fraudulent activities and scams. With the expertise of law enforcement agencies, educational institutions, social service providers, and community support organizations, attendees will gain valuable insights into recognizing, preventing, and reporting various types of scams.

Attention Patrons: The Powell Library will be closed April 23-May 5, 2024 while we move into our temporary location in the Homesteader Building at the Park County Fairgrounds. All Park County Library System patrons can continue to place holds/request items, but please understand your hold may be delayed due to the closure.
