What is Books Beyond Boundaries? Books Beyond Boundaries is a special service tailored to individuals who face temporary or long-term physical or medical disabilities, or those who provide care for loved ones with similar challenges, making it difficult to visit the library in person.

How to Get Started:

  1. Contact Us: If you or someone you care for is in need of the Books Beyond Boundaries service, please reach out to us. You can contact us by phone at (307) 527-1880 or via email at [email protected] to let us know about your specific needs and interests.
  2. Obtain a Park County Library Card: Based on your request, we’ll assist you in obtaining a Park County Library Card if you don’t already have one.
  3. Request Materials: Once you have your library card, you have two options. You can either tell us the specific items you’d like to borrow, or you can share your interests with us, and our librarians will curate a selection for you.
  4. Place Holds Online: For those comfortable using the Internet, you can place holds on materials through our website, www.parkcountylibrary.org, or our mobile app, WYLDCat.
  5. Delivery Options: Once you’ve made your choices, we’ll take care of the rest. Your materials will be delivered directly to your doorstep via mail, or our Outreach Van.

Easy Returns: Returning items is just as simple. In the same package, you’ll find a pre-paid return mailing label. When you’re ready to send back your borrowed items, just use the label, and we’ll cover all shipping costs. We want your library experience to be hassle-free.

Even if your package was delivered by the Outreach Van, please mail it back to the Cody Library. Here’s how to do it:

  1. Slide the Park County Library address label into the pocket – We’ve already attached the postage for you!
  2. Mail the package by placing it in or near your mailbox.
  3. Call us if you have any questions!

What’s Available: Our collection for delivery includes a variety of materials such as books, books on CD, DVDs, magazines, and large print books. We’ve got something for everyone.

Stay Connected: Fill out the “What Would You Like Next” sheet and return it with your items to let us know your preferences for your next delivery.

Attention Patrons: The Powell Library will be closed April 23-May 5, 2024 while we move into our temporary location in the Homesteader Building at the Park County Fairgrounds. All Park County Library System patrons can continue to place holds/request items, but please understand your hold may be delayed due to the closure. We look forward to seeing you at the fairgrounds in May.
