Decorate the Park County Libraries with Literary Pumpkins!

Calling all book lovers and creative spirits! All three Park County Libraries – Cody, Powell, and Meeteetse – are thrilled to once again be holding a “Literary Pumpkins” event.

Event Details:

  • What: Decorate a pumpkin or gourd to represent your favorite book title, character, or author.
  • When: We’ll be accepting and displaying entries from October 23rd to October 31st.
  • Where: Drop off your decorated masterpiece at any of our library branches.

Get Creative: Let your imagination run wild as you transform pumpkins and gourds into literary works of art. Whether it’s a classic novel, a beloved character, or a cherished author, your creation is limited only by your creativity.

Display and Appreciation: We’ll proudly display all entries at our libraries for everyone to enjoy throughout the event. It’s a fantastic opportunity to share your love for books and showcase your artistic talents.

Don’t Miss the Deadline: Please remember to pick up your decorated pumpkin by November 1st to ensure it doesn’t turn into a magical pumpkin carriage – we don’t want to leave any literary pumpkins behind!

Get Involved: This event is open to all ages and is a wonderful way to celebrate the magic of literature and the joy of reading. It’s also a fantastic opportunity to engage with the community, so be sure to spread the word to friends and family.

We can’t wait to see your creative entries and how you bring your favorite books to life through the art of pumpkin decoration. Join us in celebrating the Halloween season with a literary twist, and let’s make this event a pumpkin-filled, book-loving success!

ATTENTION: The Park County Libraries will be CLOSED all day on Monday, October 14th. The Cody Library will CLOSE EARLY on Friday, October 19th at 12pm.
