Celebrate Library Card Sign-up Month with the Park County Libraries!

As the leaves begin to change and the crisp scent of fall fills the air, there’s something else happening that warms the hearts of your Park County Librarians: it’s Library Card Sign-up Month! September marks the time when we, the Park County Libraries, invite you to embark on a journey of discovery, imagination, and lifelong learning through the power of a simple yet invaluable tool – your very own library card.

You might be wondering, “Why is it so important to sign up for a library card?” Ah, let us enlighten you!

1. Gateway to Knowledge: Your library card is your passport to an astounding array of books, magazines, e-books, audiobooks, research databases, and digital resources. Whether you’re diving into the classics, exploring the latest bestsellers, or delving into academic research, the library card is your golden ticket to a treasure trove of information.

2. Community Connection: A library is more than just a building filled with books. It’s a hub of community engagement, offering events, workshops, book clubs, and interactive activities that foster connections and enrich your social life.

3. Lifelong Learning: It’s never too late to learn something new! With your library card, you can access online courses, video tutorials, and educational platforms that cater to a wide range of interests and skill levels.

4. Cost-effective Entertainment: Love movies, music, or magazines? Your library card provides access to streaming services, digital music collections, and e-magazines, allowing you to unwind without straining your wallet.

5. Empowering Future Generations: When you sign up for a library card, you’re setting an example for the young minds around you. Children with library cards are more likely to become enthusiastic readers and lifelong learners. Do your kids have their own library cards? There’s no age limit to sign them up!
