CHILDREN’S RESOURCE CENTER PLAYGROUPS
These fabulous folks from CRC come to the library one Friday morning a month at 10:00 for ages 18 months through 3 years. They bring a BOATLOAD of fun and early learning opportunities – please sign up to attend! Next session is Friday, May 12th, 10:00-11:00.
Our favorite certified therapy dogs visit the library every Tuesday afternoon from 3:45-4:45. Dogs are non-judgmental listeners proven to help with reading, plus they’re just plain fun to snuggle! Please sign up for a 15-minute session.
Every Wednesday afternoon from 2:30-3:30, homeschooled kids in grades K-5 are invited to join us for “Homeschool Hour.” The first half hour is a classic read-aloud, followed by a related activity, plus occasional special events. A program for grades 6-12 is offered simultaneously in the Teen Room. No sign-up needed.
We take screen-time for kids seriously. Every Thursday afternoon from 3:00-8:00, all computers in the Kids’ Library are turned off, giving everyone a needed rest from technology. Kids will also not be permitted to use their own devices. There are plenty of other things for kids to do: board games, coloring, craft projects…and BOOKS! Let us be your haven.
Yes, that popular time of year will be here before we know it! This year’s dates will be May 30-July 30, with a terrific theme of “Build a Better World”. There will be something for kids of ALL AGES! Also, if you’re interested in helping us out by volunteering to teach a class or by donating a prize, we’d love to talk to you!
Keep in mind…
