Here’s our complete September calendar!
Story Time: Free brain training for your kids!
- Mondays: Toddler Time 10:00-10:20 for ages 12-36 months with parent or caregiver. Short stories, music, movement and fingerplays, all to develop a comfort in the library and a love for books. Also a great networking time for adults! First session is September 13.
- Tuesdays and Wednesdays: Story Time 10:00-10:30 for ages 3-6. Stories are based on a theme each week, accompanied by games, songs, and crafts, all to promote early literacy skills plus a love for the library. First sessions are September 7th and 8th.
Homeschool Hour! Homeschooled children in grades K-6 are invited Tuesday afternoons 2:30-3:30 for a classic read-aloud, followed by an activity such as library skills, contests, crafts and more. First session is September 7th.
Special Saturday Morning Story Time! September is National Library Card Sign-Up Month, and one way we’d like to encourage you to sign up for a library card is with a special story time Saturday morning, September 18th from 10:00-10:30. This will be appropriate for ages 3 and up, with stories and activities about loving books and the library. Special new card packets for kids this month! Parents decide at what age their children should get a card of their own. If you are applying for the first time, please bring proof of residency in Park County.
Read to a dog! We are taking a break before starting our fall schedule. Take a look at our “Questions and Answers” brochure to see how great a help this can be for your reader.
Summer Reading Program! We had a wonderfully popular program again this year from June 1 through August 8, with 900 kids participating! Our heartfelt thanks to the many, many generous Cody merchants, patrons, and of course the Friends of the Cody Library. The program would not be possible without them. If you participated in our program, you are a winner! Please come to the library to pick up your prize bag. When you’re in, we’d also appreicate it if you could fill out a brief survey to help us with our program next year! Thank you.
