Here’s our complete February calendar!

LEGO Club! Kids in grades K-5 – bring your imagination and we’ll supply the LEGOs, donated by the wonderful Friends of the Cody Library. We’re experimenting with days and times to see what will work best for folks. Three February dates are already filled! Stay tuned for March Club dates.

Children’s Resource Center Toddler Playgroups! Back by popular demand, this year with twice as much fun! If you’ve come before, you know how awesome these folks are – if not, you’re in for a treat.  Playgroups for ages 1 & 2 are the 1st and 3rd Thursday mornings of each month from 10:00-11:00. Playgroups for ages 2 & 3 are the 2nd and 4th Thursday mornings of each month, also from 10:00-11:00. Chockfull of age-appropriate activities and learning opportunities, this adds up to FUN! To sign up, please call the library at 527-1884 or CRC at 527-7060 or email toddlergroup.crc@bresnan.net  Come together – play together – learn together!

Saturday Story Time! Especially for families, here’s another opportunity in case you missed out during the week, or just plain want more! Saturday morning, February 11th from 10:00-10:45. Stories about Valentine’s Day, plus an opportunity for kids to make a valentine for someone they love! Geared for ages 3-6.

Sleepy Time Stories! Next fun family evening story time will be Monday, February 6th from 6:30-7:30. Kids are invited to bring a stuffed animal or pillow and come in pajamas. Listen to great new stories and stay for milk & cookies. No sign-up needed – perfect opportunity for the whole family!

Valentine Party! Kids in grades K-5, it’s time to get ready for Valentine’s Day! Come join us for stories, games and snack – plus make a valentine for someone you love on Friday, February 10th from 2:15-3:15. Sign-up appreciated, please.

Regular Weekly Programs: 

  • Toddler Time - Monday mornings from 10:00-10:20, Toddler Time is for ages 12-36 months with parent or caregiver. Short stories, music, movement and fingerplays, all to develop a comfort in the library and a love for books…plus, it’s a great networking time for adults!
  • Story TimeTuesday and Wednesday mornings from 10:00-10:45 is especially for ages 3-6. Stories are based on a theme each week, accompanied by games, songs, and crafts – all to promote early literacy skills plus a love for the library. Another great chance to meet other parents & child care providers!
  • Homeschool Hour  – Tuesday afternoons from 2:30-3:30, all homeschooled kids are invited to the children’s library (grades K-5) or teen room (grades 6-12) for a read-aloud and fun activities. Feel free to call or email for more information.
  • Reading Therapy Dogs – The popular and fun read to a dog program has returned on Thursday afternoons from 4:00-5:00. Not only great oral reading practice, but a lot of fun. Call or come by to sign up for a 15-minute session.
