How do I get a library card? Library cards are FREE to Park County residents. Bring proof of residency and a photo ID to complete your registration. Driver’s license, voter registration card or a piece of mail with your local address work well. Online Library Card Registration from the Wyoming State Library. Start at the upper right!
Visitors may purchase a $15 refundable card that has limited privileges or a non-refundable $25 with full check out privileges.
How long can I borrow the items I checked out from the library?
Books, CDs, audio books, children’s magazines – 2 weeks
Magazines – 7 days
Movies – 7 days
Books checked out on a teacher card – 6 weeks
We are piloting automatic renewal in 2020. If there is no hold on your book you may be able to keep it for 6 weeks total without actually having to call us to renew it. More info here https://parkcountylibrary.org/2019/11/26/automatic-renewal/
Is there internet access in the library? All of the Park County libraries have public-use computers and wireless internet access. Patrons and guests get one hour per day. The Cody library also has two first-come, first-serve e-mail computers which may be used for 15 minutes. Read our internet use policy for more details.
What are “Online Resources”? Our online resources expand our library collection by offering items such as encyclopedias that are updated on a daily basis. Everything from free language lessons to Chilton’s manuals can be accessed with your Park County library card.
