First up, we have our Snapshot Day with the Wyoming Libraries around the state. This Wednesday, October 21st, we will be taking and sharing pictures with the state of Wyoming Library website to promote library usage here in Wyoming. Share with us how much you love your local library and enjoy our amazing selection!
Next up, we have Literary Pumpkins. This is an opportunity for you to get creative and decorate a pumpkin for Halloween with a literary character theme! Bring your pumpkins to the library and we will display them here until October 31st. You may pick up your pumpkin to display at home for Halloween on the 30th if you wish. All pumpkins left after the 31st will be disposed of.
Third, we have our story walk, which is an ongoing program perfect for social distancing and exercise from now until the end of November. Go check it out!
Fourth, we have our awesome displays here in the library. Some binge movie bundles, some book/movie adaptations for a little comparison/contrast and a display of couch potato books that are in need of some love and still have quite a classically scrumptious flavor.
Lastly, on October 28th, we are doing a joint activity for elementary students with the Meeteetse Rec Dept After School Program. We will be painting and using fabric markers to decorate pillow cases for Trick or Treating on Halloween! Max occupancy will be 24 students and we have a sign up in the Meeteetse Library for the event for non-Rec Kids – there are 13 rec kids already automatically signed up for this activity. Any students that are not enrolled in Rec and under eight years old will need to be accompanied by an adult or older sibling. Snacks will be provided.
