Powell Library has beautiful cookbooks to help make that perfect pie for Thanksgiving. We also have how-to books ranging from mending family fences to mending the front yard fence that Uncle Bert accidently hit parking his big boat of a car into your driveway. Maybe you want to invite those long-lost family members to your turkey dinner. We have free Ancestry.com in the library, or maybe you just want to have a Hungry Man turkey dinner by yourself without an hassle. We have the books, movies, music, and magazines to keep you entertained without any of the clean up afterwards. Come in and we will get you set up for your perfect Thanksgiving!
In honor of National Alzheimer’s Awareness Month the Powell Library will be hosting a program about local resources for those that have been diagnosed and their caregivers. Trisha Shorb from Powell Valley Healthcare will be able to answer questions and guide you to the next step in your journey. Join us from 2:00-3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 6th in the meeting room of the library.
