Free Sunday Concert at the Library

The Cody Library invites you to an afternoon of exceptional music with New York City-based string duo Julia and Josh Henderson. This talented pair will present a captivating program featuring Zoltán Kodály’s famous and fiery Duo for Violin and Cello, Reena Esmail’s enchanting Nadiya, and works by Erwin Schulhoff, Cara Haxo, and their own original compositions.

Julia Henderson is an accomplished cellist whose performances have taken her to prestigious venues such as Carnegie Hall, Bargemusic, and the Joyce Theater. She has performed with renowned ensembles, including the New Haven Symphony, Sarasota Opera Orchestra, and the Rochester Philharmonic. In addition to her career as a performer, she is a dedicated music educator and chamber music advocate.

Josh Henderson is a dynamic violinist and composer with a career spanning classical, jazz, and contemporary genres. He has performed at iconic venues like The Kennedy Center and Hamburg’s Elbphilharmonie and collaborated with prominent artists such as Michael Bublé, Solange, and Sufjan Stevens. As a founding member of the cross-genre ensemble Warp Trio, Josh has toured extensively across the globe.

This special performance will take place on Sunday, January 19, at 3:00 p.m. in Grizzly Hall at the Cody Library. The event is free and open to the public, thanks to the support of the Friends of the Park County Library.
