Park County Libraries are thrilled to announce the arrival of Playaway Launchpads—a fun, interactive way for kids to learn about financial literacy through games and activities! These kid-friendly tablets are pre-loaded with educational games designed to teach children ages 3 to 12 important financial concepts like earning, saving, spending, sharing, and budgeting.
What Are Playaway Launchpads?
Playaway Launchpads are compact, easy-to-use tablets that make learning fun and accessible. Each tablet:
- Comes pre-loaded with games that don’t require an internet connection.
- Can be checked out for one week at a time.
The Launchpads feature games like Pet Cents, Making Mooo-lah, and Currency Conga, all designed to help kids build financial skills through play.
How to Get Started
Visit any Park County Library branch—Cody, Powell, or Meeteetse—to check out a Launchpad and bring home the fun. Simply ask at the front desk, and our friendly staff will help you get started!
More Fun at the Meeteetse Library
In addition to the new Launchpads, the Meeteetse Library offers in-person financial literacy games and activities. These include interactive games like Penny Pinchers’ Party, bringing financial education to life in a hands-on way.
A Special Gift to Our Community
The Playaway Launchpads are part of the Thinking Money for Kids program, made possible by a grant from the American Library Association (ALA) and the FINRA Investor Education Foundation. This program was brought to Park County Libraries through the vision and dedication of retired Meeteetse Librarian Linda Seaton, whose legacy continues to inspire and educate our community.
