Author Rodger McDaniel to Visit Powell & Cody Libraries

Wyoming author and historian Rodger McDaniel will visit Park County Libraries this month to give a talk about his latest book, Profiles in Courage: Standing Against the Wyoming Wind. Profiles in Courage features true tales of courage shown by everyday citizens, including the People of the Wind River Indian reservation and internees at Heart Mountain. McDaniel’s talks will be at Powell Library on April 24th at 6pm and Cody Library in the Grizzly Hall on April 25th at 6pm.

Rodger McDaniel served 10 years in the Wyoming legislature, practiced law for 25 years, and currently pastors Highlands Presbyterian Church in Cheyenne. He is the author of four other books including Dying for Joe McCarthy’s Sins: The Suicide of Wyoming Senator Lester Hunt and The Man in the Arena: The Life and Times of U.S. Senator Gale W. McGee — both named Nonfiction Books of the Year by the Wyoming State Historical Society. His other books include The Sagebrush Gospel and Howard Zinn and Lois Mottonen Fistfight in the Equality State.

The talks at the Powell and Cody Libraries are free and open to the public. Books will be available for purchase and signing.
