Kickstart Your Spring Garden at the Libraries!

With the first day of Spring on the horizon, the Park County Libraries are excited to help community members start to plan their gardens. We’d like to remind the community that Seed Libraries are available, where you can check out free, local seeds, at each library branch in the county.

Cody, Powell, and Meeteetse libraries will also be doing a giveaway on the first day of Spring. Anyone who checks out library materials on Monday, March 20th will receive a free seed tray (while supplies last) that was generously donated from the local Cody Walmart Supercenter.

On Wednesday, March 22nd at 5:30 p.m., the Cody Library will be offering a “How to Start Your Garden 101” class. Local Master Gardener Kathy Clarkson will be teaching the community how to get a jumpstart on their gardens, in our area of Wyoming, using the supplies given by the library. The class is free and open to the public. Light refreshments will be provided as well as a free seed tray, soil, and seeds.

Kickstart the new season and the opening of the Park County Seed Libraries with fun giveaways and a class by a master gardener.

Attention Patrons: The Powell Library will be closed April 23-May 5, 2024 while we move into our temporary location in the Homesteader Building at the Park County Fairgrounds. All Park County Library System patrons can continue to place holds/request items, but please understand your hold may be delayed due to the closure. We look forward to seeing you at the fairgrounds in May.
