Gingerbread House Contest at the Cody Library

  • Featured

Imagine constructing a house out of frosting and sugary delights. Put your imagination to use with a Gingerbread House Contest at the Cody Library! The theme for this year’s contest is “Season’s Reading.” Entries will be judged in three categories: adult, youth, and family/teams. Building a gingerbread house would make a really fun team-building exercise for families, friends, or coworkers.

Entries will be accepted and approved at the Circulation Desk of the Cody Library from Monday, December 5th through Monday, December 12th. The gingerbread house display will then remain up until Saturday, December 17th.

Judging, for the contest, will take place on Tuesday, December 13th. There will be one prize for each of the three categories and the winners will be chosen based on overall appearance, imagination, and theme interpretation. Everything on your gingerbread house must be edible. Gingerbread, candy, and sweets are highly recommended. Please construct your house on a platform that is no larger than 18”x18”.

Pick up an entry form at the Cody Library Circulation Desk or download and print the form below.

ATTENTION: Park County Libraries will be closed Fri.-Mon., December 23rd-26th, for the Christmas holiday.
