Enjoy a Day of Coziness at the Park County Libraries

Stop by any of the Park County Libraries on Saturday, January 22nd to enjoy a day of Hygge! Hygge, pronounced “hoo-guh,” is a Danish term that refers to a quality of coziness and comfort that engenders feelings of contentment and well-being. There will be a hot cocoa and tea bar, a card-making craft, a cozy fireplace, and plenty of books to curl up with.  Community members of all-ages are welcome to attend and encouraged to wear comfy clothes – pjs are welcome – and bring a cozy blanket. This event will help kick off the librarys’ Winter Reading Program which begins on January 18th. During the Winter Reading Program, community members can enter to win fabulous prizes by simply reading books.

The Cody Library will be running their Hygge celebration from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Powell Library’s celebration will be from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and Meeteetse Library will host theirs from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Attention Patrons: The Powell Library will be closed April 23-May 5, 2024 while we move into our temporary location in the Homesteader Building at the Park County Fairgrounds. All Park County Library System patrons can continue to place holds/request items, but please understand your hold may be delayed due to the closure. We look forward to seeing you at the fairgrounds in May.
