Powell Library Summer Reading Program

 

Kids READING PROGRAM (Register online or in-person at the Children’s desk and be sure to come pick up your materials)

Babies under 3 years old:
Early literacy activities to complete with parent
• Show your activities page for a free book in June
and a free bath toy in July

Preschool—5th grade:
• How much weight can we read in books? As much
as an ostrich weighs? An elephant? Weigh your
books when you check out and add it to the grand
total!
• Earn a ticket for every library book you read or
that someone reads to you
• Spin the wheel weekly beginning June 14 by
showing your reading calendar
• Enter tickets for prizes or donate a ticket to help
the animal shelter or food bank.
• Visit Homesteader Museum to earn a ticket!
• Help us with the mystery mosaic at the library!

Young Adult READING PROGRAM (Register in person or online)

• Earn tickets
• One for every book you read or listen to
• Play Library Bingo (3 tickets for a Bingo
and 15 for a Blackout. You may have as
many Bingo boards as you want.)
• Attend library programs and events or visit
the Homesteader Museum
• How much weight can we read in books? Weigh
your books when you check them out to help add to
the grand total!
• Enter tickets for prizes (Powell Bucks) or donate a
ticket to help the animal shelter or food bank.

Summer Reading Programs for Young Adults  Wednesday Afternoons at 1:00p.m. Please sign up.

Treasure Hunting 101 (Geocaching)

June 9th at 1:00p.m.

Black Out Poetry

June 16th at 1:00p.m.

Art Challenges

June 23rd at 1:00p.m.

Creative Notebooks

June 30th at 1:00p.m.

Everything must be turned in by Friday, July 23rd for all ages!

Attention Patrons: The Powell Library will be closed April 23-May 5, 2024 while we move into our temporary location in the Homesteader Building at the Park County Fairgrounds. All Park County Library System patrons can continue to place holds/request items, but please understand your hold may be delayed due to the closure. We look forward to seeing you at the fairgrounds in May.
