Universal Class March 11, 2020 by Felicia Spencer Leave a Comment https://parkcountywy.universalclass.com/barcode-login.htm?enter+code.Libraries are places for lifelong learning. A place to continue to grow your skills and knowledge base. For research and exploration. Today’s tutorial is about exactly that! We have explored some on gowyld.net. Now we are going to explore our own Park County Library website. Did you know that you can take online classes FOR FREE through the library? These classes don’t count for college credit but you can print certificates saying you have completed them. Some are just fluffy fun and some can actually help you with practical real life scenarios! Everything from financial information, first aid and babysitting safety, candle-making, second languages, baking, and much much more! Take a look! And remember to thank your local Friends of the Cody Library group for underwriting this learning opportunity for all of Park County! Such generosity should not be overlooked!1. I went to our webpage and then clicked on Online Resources.2. Down near the bottom of the page, it offers Universal Class. Please note all of the other available resources and take some time to explore them… but not until after THIS tutorial, because this one is extra cool… 3. There are suggested classes but there are also many others to browse through – just pick a topic. You can find almost anything!4.You will need to register to sign up for a class. It is free to register and you do it using your library card number. Create an account on Universal Class – username, password, and your library card number.5. Then it will take you to this dashboard. Yours may look different as you pick out various classes.6. For the purpose of this demonstration, I chose a fun fluffy class – Candle Making 101! I love scented candles but I hate that they get used so quickly… so why not learn to make some of my own?7. Of course, I had to find out exactly what this class entails and what I will get out of it if I do complete the course. I can print a certificate if I finish and there is a syllabus available with details on all course lessons. If I do end up making an actual candle, I will let you know! Good luck and let us know how you are continuing to learn!
