Summer Reading: Build a Better World
Pre-registration for Summer Reading begins the last week of school on May 22. We have lots of fun activities planned for children of all ages beginning with infants! Baby & Toddler Time for children age 0-36 months is Mondays at 10:30 – 11:00 a.m. and Thursdays at 11:00 – 11:30 a.m. This special time includes stories, fingerplays, songs, movement, and play. A dynamic way to introduce your little one to the library! No need to sign up. Please come when you can.
Story Time for preschool – elementary children is from 10:30 to 11:00 a.m. every Tuesday & Wednesday morning (Please note: Wednesday June 7 – Wednesday July 12 Lego Fun for Families will be held at 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. in place of Wednesday Story Time.). Story Time includes stories, rhymes, music, and an activity to promote a love of reading and the library. No sign-up needed.
We hold special after-school programs during the school year. These programs include Lego Club, Cup Stacking, craft programs, and Read to a Dog. Watch the main web page, or check the Powell Events Calendar for more program information.
