JOB OPENING POWELL BRANCH LIBRARY

Powell Branch Manager/Librarian

The Park County Library System, headquartered in Cody, Wyoming, is looking for an energetic and forward-thinking, full-time professional to manage the library system’s Powell Branch Library. Required qualifications include a MLS degree and three years library experience; previous supervisory experience and the proven ability to direct the activities of others, while maintaining outstanding customer relations; knowledge of reference and reader’s advisory tools, bibliographic sources, cataloging and classification systems; excellent verbal and written, organizational and statistical reporting skills. Must be familiar with Library 2.0 practices and maintain and expand the library’s presence online through the use of social media. The Branch Manager must be able to meet deadlines, follow and interpret Policies and Procedures and effectively work within the community. Experience with library construction projects desirable.
