Meeteetse Branch Library concluded the Summer Reading Program with our own Summer Olympics. Complete with an Opening Ceremony, our Readers competed in Beach Volleyball, Long Jump, Water Balloon Toss, Color Run and more. We even awarded medals. But the most fun had to be the Epic Water War – Football Coaches vs. Everyone! It’s hard to say who had more fun!
Join us on Thursday, July 14 from 4:00- 6:00 at the Meeteetse Library for a program with Debra Nordberg. She just completed the Camino de Santiago. She walked over 600 miles (and over! a million steps) from southwestern France and across northern Spain. Come and hear, and see, more of her journey. [Read more…]
Park County Library Board will meet in Meeteetse on Thursday, May 19 at 4:00 pm in the Meeteetse Library. All Board Meetings are open to the public. You are welcome to attend.
The Downton Abbey Tea Party and Flower Pot Fundraiser hosted by the Meeteetse Friends of the Library was a real success! Even the weather cooperated – the cool, rainy day felt just like England! Inside the tables were decorated with linens and teapots and the goodies and hats were worthy of a British High Tea (in our best Wyoming fashion). The fabulous Flower Pots were auctioned by Silent and Live Auction. After all the auction action the Meeteetse Friends raised nearly $800 for library support.
A high point of the Auction was the dedication of one of the pots for the Leo Horsen Fund. Leo is a Meeteetse student who was struck by a shot put earlier in the month at a Track Meet. A Fund has been set up for the Horsen family at Meeteetse Bank of the West and the Meeteetse Friends were happy to be able to assist the family.
