Local author Pat Stuart will talk about her new book on Sunday, September 27 at 1 p.m. in Grizzly Hall at the Park County Public Library in Cody.
Determined Women II: The New Pioneer is a family memoir set in Cody and the Wapiti Valley with chapters on the Japanese Relocation Center and the Shoshone Irrigation Project in the post-WWII years. “It is about my mother’s determination to build her own cabin the way her great grandmother had built hers—one log at a time. So, we moved up into the forest on upper Green Creek, lived in a tent and … one woman with three children … built a 1200 sq. ft. cabin. It’s the one now occupied by the Prestons,” said Pat.
