Powell Branch Library is thrilled to announce that “Buffalo Bill” Boycott will be performing at Saturday, December 12th from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. William Frederick Boycott as “Buffalo Bill” will present a Christmas program filled with music and laughter. All ages are encouraged to attend!
Cody Library will also host Boycott on Sunday, December 13, beginning at 1:30 p.m. in Grizzly Hall. During the show, Boycott will tell his story-poem entitled “Diaper Rodeo,” about a young father’s first attempt to change his child’s diaper. He’ll also sing a New Christy Minstrels song which reveals that the real Santa Claus has “hair in his ears”.
Boycott plays fiddle, mandolin, and guitar. Joanne Orr, who sings and plays banjo and guitar, accompanies him. He has performed with several musical groups, and produced two programs on the history of Wyoming and the West with Wyoming Public Television. He regularly performs at schools, concerts, festivals, and cowboy poetry events. His recording, “A Rocky Mountain Cowboy Christmas” recently won an honorable mention award from the Wyoming Historical Society. The Friends of the Cody Library are conducting their Christmas Open House the same day. So, spend a little holiday time with us!
