Sweet Exhibit Now; Lecture October 20
Oct 6th, 2009 by Edie
Famous artist and Cody area resident, Darrell K. Sweet, has paintings on display at the Cody Library through October. You might have seen one of his illustrations on a science fiction or fantasy book published by Tor. His book cover and calendar art is well known. He has illustrated the Xanth series by Piers Anthony, the Saga of Recluce series by L. E. Modesitt, Jr., and the Runelords series by David Farland. He is also widely recognized in Europe because of his association with publishing houses there. He is a traditional artist who uses paints and brushes, not computer graphics.
At 6:30 p.m., Tuesday, October 20, he will talk about art, aesthetics, and making a career of it. The program is free and open to the public. It’s something you won’t want to miss!

Hi – the date listed for Mr. Sweet’s presentation is Tuesday, October 22. The 22nd of October is a Thursday. Could you please let me know which date it really is being held – Tues, Oct. 20 or Thursday, Oct. 22? Thank you!
Oops! Thanks for catching that. The lecture is Tuesday, October 20, and I’ve fixed the date in the post.
