If you love to listen to books via CD or cassette then we are thrilled to offer you a new way to enjoy books by downloading them onto a computer and uploading them onto your MP3, pocket PC, or smartphone device. Currently www.netlibrary.org is offering over 1,700 titles to be downloaded, and it’s as simple as creating an account, selecting your book, and sending it to your player. Begin by going to the webpage http://wyld.state.wy.us locate and click your library, and then click the area that says Downloadable Audiobooks - Getting Started. The next page holds all the information you will need for establishing your account with NetLibrary. There is a great video demonstration on the left side of the page eAudiobooks self-guided demo (Flash) that walks you through the process of downloading a book. There is also a Quick Start Guide that will give you tons of information. And, of course, you always have your friendly neighborhood librarian to help you! Whatever your winter holds in store whether it be skiing, baking, or just taking a winter stroll you’ll be able to take a book with you wherever you go. Now that’s what I call “friendly” technology!
