Happy Thanksgiving!
Nov 21st, 2007 by laura
All Park County libraries will be closed November 22, 23, and 24 for Thanksgiving. Our virtual branch–this website and all the electronic resources we provide–are open at all hours all year round. The holidays often bring families together, so here are a few ways to learn more about your family through our virtual library! (Some will require you to enter your library card number (which starts 290920) and PIN (which is probably wyld unless you’ve changed it).
You can research your ancestors (whether they came on the Mayflower or much later) via Heritage Quest from the comfort of your home.
If your family has been in Wyoming for many years, you might enjoy seeing if you can find their old homes using Sanborn Digital maps.
Why not learn more about the origins of your town or county’s name with the Wyoming Places Wiki?
And finally, you might enjoy browsing through some of the Thanksgiving links compiled over the years by the librarians at Librarians Internet Index (which isn’t a Wyoming project but which is still pretty nifty).
